Fletcher T. Newton
Fletcher Newton has worked in the nuclear fuel industry for over 27 years. Fletcher joined Tenam Corporation, the US subsidiary of Joint Stock Company TENEX, which is the Russian commercial agent for sales of nuclear fuel throughout the world, as President and Director in March 2015. He joined the Board of Directors of Uranium One Inc. in September 2018, having previously served as Executive Vice-President, Corporate and Strategic Affairs for Uranium One, Inc. from 2007 to 2012 with responsibility for several functions over his time with the company. From 2013 to 2015, he provided consulting services to companies in the nuclear energy industry, including utilities, fabricators, and uranium producers. From 1997 to 2007, he was President of Cameco Corporation’s U.S. subsidiaries Power Resources, Inc. and Crow Butte Resources, Inc., and was also responsible for overseeing development of Cameco’s Inkai project in Kazakhstan. Before joining Cameco Corporation, he served as Special Counsel to the Chairman of Concord/Nuexco Trading Corporation from 1991-1995. Fletcher holds degrees from University of Denver College of Law (J.D.), the University of Leningrad Faculty of Philology (CIEE Russian Program), and Harvard College (B.A., Soviet Studies, Magna Cum Laude).
